Aislig Bheag - May 2005
13-15 May 2005. Jenn, Jo, Stan, Lara, Kirty, Ken and me joined the skipper, John and Paul on Aislig Bheag (Cruise Ecosse Ltd). We sailed out of Oban on thye Friday afternoon and headed for South West Mull, where we anchored in a beautiful bay with crystal clear waters and silver sandy beaches. Mid day Saturday, after various folk went for a wee dip, we set sail for the Corryvreckan, and the Isle of Jura. We anchored in a bay on North West Jura for the night. On arriving we went ashore to explore. Some of us ended up walking up the nearest hill, where from the top you could see accross to Crinan. Loads of deer could be seen, as Jura apparently has a count of over 5000 - or so I'm told! Sunday saw a nice sail back to Oban. Thanks to all involved, especially the skipper John and Paul who made us very welcome. And congratulations to Jenn and Jo, who announced they have a pending arrival! Well done guys!
